Best results in years for Austrian music market

I read an article the other day in the online edition of "austriantimes.at" and it talks about the Austrian music market.

I thought you might be interested because everybody listens to music when he or she goes out or just wants to relax.

Basically what it says is that the Austrians spent 182 million Euros on physical and digital music last year. The turnover in the online market had risen but the turnover in the physical market had fallen.
The IFPI head said that internet and mobile-phone sales of music would be the engine of growth in the music market. About 600,000 Austrians legally downloaded music last year and the number of internet music shops rose to over 20.

I am not surprised that the turnover in the physical market had fallen because it's more comfortable to download music at home instead of going into a shop.
It's no surprise that the most popular album last year was the Michael Jackson best of compilation "King of Pop" because he died last year. The most successful Austrian single was "So a schöner Tag" by the Junge Zillertaler and the best single international was "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga.

Vocabulary:
physical (körperlich): Physical means you go into a shop and buy something.

turnover (Umsatz): The turnover had fallen.

IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industry) (Verband der Österreichischen Musikwirtschaft): The IFPI represents the recording industry worldwide.

engine of growth (Wachstumsantrieb): Internet sales of music would be the engine of growth in the music market.

compilation (Sammelwerk): Michael Jackson's best songs ever were put together on a new album.
