Today we were reading the blogs from our classmates in our English lesson and we should write a short summary about one of them.

I have just read an article in Magdalena Holzinger's blog

and it talks about St. Patrick's Day or also called Paddy Day.

I thought you might be interested because in Ireland the 17th of March is a very important day.

Basically what it says is that the Irelands celebrate St. Patrick's Day because St. Patrick is a patron saint of Ireland. First it was celebrated as a religious holiday.
It also says that this day is also celebrated outside from Ireland. At this special day everybody wears green clothes. They make huge parades. listen to Irish music and drink a lot of Guinness or "green" beer.

What surprised me was that St. Patrick's Day is not only celebrated in Ireland instead also in Canada, Great Britain ...

What I like about her blog is that it is very easy to understand and Magdalena has included beautiful pictures so you can get a very good impression about that day.
